My Otakuzine Experience!

Finally! The first ever National Cosplay Summit is here! And this will be happening on the most awaited Ozine Fest '09 on the third day of April 3-5, 2009 brought to us by the Otakuzine Anime Magazine staff themselves!

And for you to know them better I want to share this piece of something that will let you know what they had done FIRST here in the country!! ^^

Isn't that so exciting?! Being part of this kind of event is really a huge getaway if you're an anime fanatic at heart! You'll meet a lot of people, a chance to win prizes, a chance to meet your favorite cosplayer and a lot lot more things to enjoy that only Otakuzine can give you! I'm telling you, this is the grandest thing that you can ever experience in your whole Otaku-life!

And that's not it! Since Ozine is back, people across the land are starting to meet again through their Otakuzine Forum. So if you want to join the pack, just pay it a visit and register yourselves and start to mingle with a lot of anime fans like you! XD And being part of the forum will also give you the chance to attend one of the "get together" or "meet-ups" of the club!

I, myself became a part of the Ozine Family as well! It all started when someone introduced to me the Anime-Club forum before. Anime-Club was the time when we still have Questor, the anime magazine prior to Otakuzine, here in the country. Maybe that was 2005 when I started to be an active member of the board. Username? kravric_soul. And that username was really so old! hahaha!

Then I became inactive for being a graduating college student the next year. Even though I got "detached" for a while, I'm still receiving some updates from them. And because i'm still living at Bicol that time, I just really can't help it but to be envy of those people who are able to go to those Ozine Fests! T_T If only Bicol was just an hour ride away, I shouldn't had missed any of the Ozine Fests held before.

But fate didn't gave up on me yet, our office was relocated here at Pasig and I was one of those employees who were very lucky to be transferred here! Yey! And there goes my opportunity to experience how its like to attend an Anime Convention! I started to be an active member again of the Otakuzine Forum. I managed to know more friends online and made some phone number exchange with them.

April 6, 2008. This was my first time to attend an Ozine Fest. I enjoyed a lot! Cosplays, games, the bands that performed JPOP and Anime Soundtracks, those lot of anime merchandise. Everything there was really great! But there's 1 thing that really made me regret. I happened to attend the event but I became a bit of naive to see my co-forumers which were also there!

So what happened was, I waited for the next year to give myself a chance to meet them! But when I was just so eagerly waiting for the next Ozine Fest to come. I was already meeting some of them! I even got the chance to meet them in one of the Dorm gathering that happened last May 24, 2008. And can you imagine this?

I know that this was my first time to meet them but do I really have to come across with that kind of welcoming? XDD That really was one of my most memorable experience that happened to me being part of the Ozine Family. Then from there, it became a weekend habit to have a get together at the SM Megamall. We even went to other Anime Conventions together! One of which was last May 31, 2008 at SMX Center for Mangaholix. Could you just imagine how close we all had become? XP

July 31, 2008. It was when Ukiya asked to me to be part of the event staff for Anicon '08! Another Anime convention by the Otakuzine Anime Magazine staff!

I just can't imagine now how involved I got myself in with Otakuzine. I was just once a fan that was just reading those magazines thinking if I could ever meet these people personally, then all of the sudden, I'm with them!
